I'm a published author of fiction, nonfiction (memoir, personal essay) and poetry. I edit and critique manuscripts.

Since I was a small child, I have been fascinated with people.  I would watch their every move, examine every detail of their body language and appearance; in an effort to sort out what they were thinking.  Because of this, I have a keen eye for character development and natural, realistic dialogue. I am also savvy at analyzing theme, subtext, structure, and general style.

I will not cross out words in any manuscript as I find it offensive and derogatory. They are your words and they deserve respect.  I will, however, highlight potential issues and offer suggestions and alternatives. I believe firmly in a writer's individual voice and I endeavor to encourage its development.     ​
